Professor Asif Ahmed is a world-renowned entrepreneurial scientist, who discovered protective pathways to prevent preeclampsia. He founded Aston Medical School and is Executive Chairman of MirZyme Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company on a mission to make preeclampsia history with one test, one pill, and save two lives. They received $40m in competitive research grants, have ten global patents in 30 countries and a MHRA Innovation Passport for the treatment of preeclampsia.
