Our Conference Chair will provide an introduction to the conference, to our sponsors and partners, and summarise the agenda.
The UK Private healthcare sector faces many questions. Where is the industry going? What needs to change? What are the key challenges? The keynote session will give you a perspective on how executives are approaching these questions.
The recent open letter from David Stewart, Executive Director, The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has caused a shake in the private healthcare sector. The CMA has requested the need for change. The need for additional data collection and publication will grow, hear from Jayne Scott, chair of PHIN, the main body responsible for data collection required by the CMA.
Have patient expectations changed because of the pandemic? We will explore the varying experiences from different clinicians, hospitals and insurance providers and discuss the step-change in the use of digital due to the pandemic.
Can PMI learn from other insurance sectors such as Life, Serious Illness or Income Protection Cover? Can PMI be more joined-up with non-acute aspects of care? If so, how should insurers and acute hospital operators respond?
Industries continue to discuss self-pay patients and their importance. How do consultants and hospitals better brand themselves to matter more to the self-pay patient?
PMI providers are not discussed. Much of the recent discussion around patient safety has focused on clinicians and hospital operators. What can PMI providers do as a collective to better improve patient safety?
How can the sector gain more value from providing outcomes? What do last year’s panellists have to report on previous outcomes and goals set? The session will discuss why ‘We’ve been talking about this for years. Why are we not there yet?’.
Our events attract support from key stakeholders in the independent health and social care sectors. Sponsorship connects your brand with opinion formers in the sector and associates it with knowledge products and professional development.
