Tim is the Director of NHS @home, working within the Primary Care, Community Services and Strategy Directorate and leading the national implementation of COVID Oximetry @home and Virtual COVID Wards in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tim is also working on a range of other NHS @home pathways to provide connected, supported, personalised care to people in their own homes. Tim is also lead on the My Planned Care workstream of the Elective Care recovery programme which aims to empower patients so they are more informed about their wait and better prepared for their operation or procedure.
Tim joined NHS England in November 2016 and was formerly Chief Executive of the Health and Social Care Information Centre (now NHS Digital). Tim is also a qualified dentist and chartered accountant and has also held several other national and local senior leadership roles within health and social care.
In his spare time Tim likes to run ultras and cycle up hills in and around Yorkshire.
