Step has worked at the Council since 2003 and has held a variety of management roles across a number of areas, most recently as Director of Adults Services (DASS). Steph has also previously been employed in a joint post with the Council and Tameside and Glossop PCT.
Steph started her career in nursing and worked across a number of acute, community and public health settings with adults and children, with a focus on working with people with learning disabilities.
Steph’s current role includes the statutory DASS role and is the Lead Director the locality for Ageing Well. She is also the chair of the Greater Manchester DASS group and serves on the Executive Board of North West ADASS. Her focus within the GM work includes the DASS lead for Urgent and Emergency Care and Workforce Development.
