Shokat is a Group Executive Director at CareTech Holdings PLC. Shokat leads on strategic and corporate initiatives, these have included expansion of CareTech services outside of the UK, development of the Group’s technology division and driving CareTech’s innovation and partnership agenda. CareTech is amongst the largest specialist social care providers in the UK operating 550 services in England, Scotland and Wales and employing 11,000 staff. Shokat has held director and executive director positions in the NHS in commissioner and provider roles and worked on Strategic Health Authority special projects. At Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS FT Shokat was the Executive lead for the systemwide Healthy Villages Complete Care programme, a pace setter in developing a whole person care model for older adults in partnership with the NHS, LA and third sector.
