Shirley has a background in nursing and joined ExtraCare in July 2013 to oversee the wellbeing and dementia and mental wellbeing programmes, as well as expanding services into the community. Shirley completed the Older Person’s Fellowship with Kings College London in 2018, her Quality Improvement Project being to implement the new frailty tool as part of ExtraCare’s new wellbeing app. She also oversees the use of smart technology to improve the health and wellbeing of residents.
