Ruth Miller

Ruth has worked in the sector since 2010, within both children’s and adults social care. She is a qualified social worker, as well as having been a CQC registered manager, and now specialises in homecare commissioning for the local authority. Her experience in both social work, quality improvement, CQC inspection and the private sector has allowed her a unique insight into understanding market pressures, including developing innovative ways of working to support them.

Ruth is an advocate of coproduction and partnership working, and believes this is the best way to create effective and long-lasting solutions to the way homecare is commissioned. She founded the Informal Homecare Commissioning Network in 2021, which has grown from strength to strength and now hosts over 40 Councils nationwide, holding space for commissioners to share innovations, best practice and problem solve together.
