Katie Thorn is the Digital Engagement Manager at the National Care Association and project manager for the Digital Care Hub (formerly Digital Social Care).
The Digital Care Hub is a partnership project between members of the Care Provider Alliance and funded by NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care. For social care providers, by social care providers we provide guidance and support on adult social care technology.
Katie has a background working in nursing homes as both a carer and in operations and, since 2016, has specialised in technology implementation and data protection across a range of adult social care settings.
Katie has been recognised for her work supporting care providers by receiving The Woman in Tech award at the Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care (WAGS) awards (2022) and the NHS England Award in the Public Service Category of the National Cyber Awards (2023).
