John’s principal career for 20 years, was as a Private Equity professional, including being a UK Sector Head, Regional Head & Investment Committee, Valuations Committee & Advisory Board Member. He was an equity partner at Phoenix Equity Partners and NorthEdge Capital and an Investment Director at 3i plc. John is also an investor and the independent NED at JMG Group, a high growth £250m premium commercial insurance business backed by SYNOVA LP He is a Non Executive Director at Vida Healthcare Group. Vida is an award winning, innovative specialist Dementia Care Group. John has been an Adviser to Leeds University & Nexus Innovation Centre; and BVCA and Dealmakers Awards judge. John has been a Chair & NED on a variety of Company Boards ranging from start-ups to global businesses with 3,000 employees. John has also worked as a corporate lawyer at 2 international law firms.
