
John Kennedy has more than 40 years’ experience in Senior Housing and Adult Social Care, with a career spanning operational management, policy development, and governance. He is an experienced executive and non-executive, having overseen care services in both the private and not for profit sectors where he has been responsible for care homes, retirement villages, and supported living services. In these roles, he led major service redesign projects and delivered significant housing and care developments. John is the author of John Kennedy’s Care Home Inquiry (2014) and co-author, with Des Kelly OBE, of Power to People (2017). Commissioned by the Minister of Health(NI) the report set out proposals for the reform of adult social care in Northern Ireland. He has contributed to national research programmes on dementia, loneliness, and care quality and served on numerous boards and advisory groups, including the NCF, IHSCM, and My Home Life.
