
James recently stepped down as the CEO of HC-One, the UK’s largest dementia, nursing, and specialist care home provider with a team of 20,000 working across Britain in c.280 homes.
James worked across a range of sectors, before settling into health and care. His early career was in strategy consulting, and then consumer goods and services. His health leadership roles have been at Bupa running both provision and commissioning businesses, and as CEO of Boston based Health Dialog. Prior to HC-One, he led the international division of US based Bright Horizons. James was also a Non-Executive Director of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust for 6 years and currently serves as Chair of Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.
