James is CEO of HC-One, the UK’s largest care home group. HC-One specialises in Dementia, Residential and Nursing care, serving c18,000 Residents across nearly 300 homes.
James built his experience across several sectors including consumer and financial services before settling into Health and Care. Prior to leading HC-One James ran the international division of US-based Bright Horizons. Before which he spent a number of years with Bupa, working across different parts of the group, including Bupa International, running Bupa’s commissioning and as President and CEO of Health Dialog, a US Based health analytics and services innovator in which Bupa built a stake and later acquired.
James is also Non-Executive Director of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and Chair of Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.
