Originally trained in the NHS as a surgeon, she’s held Chief Medical Officer and Executive Medical Director roles in independent healthcare: for private medical insurers Bupa and Axa Health; and independent provider of diagnostic services lnHealth. She has set up and chaired clinical risk committees and lead culture change for patient safety. She provided evidence to the Paterson Inquiry (2020) and was a member of the Department of Health Expert Working Group for the first information standard.
