Don Serratt

Don Serratt is known for founding Lifeworks in 2003, which he developed into one of the UK’s leading private addiction treatment centres before its acquisition by the Priory Group in 2017. As CEO of Glenholme Healthcare Group’s Specialist Care Division, he has significantly expanded the organisation, transforming it from a single residential facility in North London into a network of over 20 residential and supported living services that support more than 140 individuals. Don’s focus on developing bespoke, high-quality properties has been central to Glenholme’s growth, providing exceptional care for individuals with learning disabilities, mental health problems, and complex needs.

Before entering the social care field, Don accumulated over 15 years of senior international corporate finance and management experience. He worked on mergers and acquisitions and equity capital market transactions across more than 15 industries and 20 countries, and played a pivotal role in structuring and raising venture capital, public equity, and debt investment funds. As Director of Strategic Development for Resort Properties in the leisure industry and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Creditanstalt Investment Bank (CAIB), he managed 120 professionals across 14 countries, contributing to CAIB’s rise as the leading investment bank in Central and Eastern Europe. Don’s career began at Bear, Stearns & Co in New York, where he was involved in numerous cross-border transactions in Latin America and Asia. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s in International Relations from Cambridge University.
