Anne-Marie is the founder and CEO of CareMatch & has over 35 years of experience in care.
I left university, and after two years, set up a nursing home which I ran for over 20 years. I successfully developed and grew the service from 30 to 90 residents, and incorporated a homecare division for the company. After the home was sold, I founded a domiciliary care company (which I still run)- Abicare, which delivers Homecare and LiveIn care across the South & South West of England.
Over the past few years I have felt strongly that care could be done better. Carers could be paid more; higher, fairer rates could be implemented with a few changes, charges should remain in line with current rates and the integration of innovative technology that actually makes a difference was needed. I am passionate about changing the culture of care in the UK and it was with this in mind that CareMatch was born 2017.
At CareMatch we have designed an end to end technical solution for either any carer who delivers care or Care Receiver looking for and needing help at home. With our platform built and apps available, we are now canvassing individuals who have shared values and want to support their local community and provide a meaningful service to anyone who is vulnerable.
