About The Conference
2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the Private Healthcare Summit. A key annual event for the private health sector, the Summit attracts senior executives and decision makers.

It’s time for the private healthcare sector to look forward, not back, and consider how providers, payors, and patients will interact in a changing world of healthcare.

With an overarching theme of “Navigating the Future – Together”, the Private Healthcare Summit 2023 will focus on some of the key issues facing the sector – economic turmoil and the impact on healthcare; Value Based Healthcare – what is it?; recruitment & retention; developing a digital community; cost containment and what can we do differently, together.

Hear from the Conference Director, Elizabeth Boultbee

Conference Agenda

Our Conference Chair will provide an introduction to the conference, to our sponsors and partners, and summarise the agenda.

What can be done to mitigate the turmoil? We will hear from Keynote speaker, Anita Charlesworth who will set out the impact on healthcare with the current economic turmoil and what is forecast next.

What can we learn from the UK insurance activity over the last 12 months? We will hear from Keynote speaker, Fiona Booth who will speak on the details of this and focus on some comparisons to the previous year, whilst forecasting what we might see in the next 12 months.

Humphrey Ho, who was named as top influencer by Forbes in 2019, will highlight the value of having a long-term strategy in healthcare and delve into the ways we can improve marketing during a recession.

Who is the digital customer? Martin Bell will explore how healthcare has changed to meet the needs of the digital customer and what lessons we can learn going forward.

What is value-based healthcare and how does it work? We will hear from Keynote speaker Josh Snowden Bahr who will explore these questions and expand on what the impact may be.

This panel discussion will explore recruitment and retention strategies and how we can implement diversity targets. We will hear from a variety of speakers who will delve into the various training and education initiatives on offer and the different ways to attract young people to the sector.

This stream will focus on why marketing to international patients matters and the ways in which we can develop a UK proposal. We will hear why content is ‘king’ and the importance of rating systems.

What does an investor in the digital sector look for? We will hear from a range of speakers who will delve into this question and focus on the challenges you can face when developing a digital application and bringing it to the market.

We will learn more about value-based healthcare (VBH) from our expert panellists within this session. This panel discussion will examine the best way in which the private sector can influence the VBH agenda and how it is best implemented.
