Dr Jane Benjamin

Dr Jane Benjamin is the Women’s Health Lead for HCA Primary Care, Co-Chair of the HCA Menopause Service Group, and a member of the HCA Clinical Innovation Board.

Dr Benjamin qualified in Medicine from the University of Cape Town in 2004 before moving to the UK, where she worked within leading NHS hospitals. In 2011, she completed a Doctorate in Nutrition and Gastroenterology through King’s College London, further developing her expertise in the relationship between nutrition, long-term health and disease prevention.

Alongside her clinical practice, which spans General Practice, Occupational Health and Health Screening, Dr Benjamin has developed particular expertise in women’s health, preventative medicine and workplace wellbeing. She is passionate about translating clinical evidence into practical health strategies that support individuals while helping organisations build healthier, more resilient and productive workforces.

Through her leadership roles, including her work on the Clinical Innovation Board, Dr Benjamin contributes to the development and evolution of healthcare services, with a focus on improving clinical outcomes, patient experience and the delivery of innovative, evidence-based approaches to healthcare.

Her work encompasses the development of corporate health and wellbeing strategies, with a particular focus on women’s health across the employee lifecycle, health education, early identification of risk, prevention and access to appropriate clinical support. She is a strong advocate for moving beyond reactive healthcare towards a more proactive model that enables organisations to identify health needs early and create environments in which employees can thrive.

Dr Benjamin is also actively involved in health promotion and medical education, helping to raise awareness of key health conditions and translating complex medical topics into accessible, evidence-based guidance for both individuals and organisations.

She brings together clinical expertise, strategic health leadership and a strong understanding of the modern workplace, providing an informed perspective on how organisations can embed health, prevention and wellbeing into their broader corporate strategy.
