Godfred Boahen

Dr Godfred Boahen is Head of Learning Disabilities and Autism Services (Westminster City Council and Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea) and Co-Chair, Independent Advisory Group of the Social Care Workforce Equalities Standards. After a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford University, Godfred trained as a social worker at the University of York and earned a PhD at The Open University, researching the experiences of Global Majority people in integrated learning disabilities services. Godfred was the co-author of the BAME Communities Advisory Group report for the Social Care Sector COVID-19 Support Taskforce and has written widely in professional practice. He is also currently a Visiting Fellow in learning disabilities at The Open University.
