
Donna is the Director of Nursing and Community Services for Zentar Healthcare Limited and is the Registered Manager. She holds several Trustee Roles in the health Service and charities. She advises and consults on health policy and health issues to both NHS, local authority and private institutions, including Global Health Partnerships.
Donna was a former Chief Executive and General Secretary of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN), advocating for the profession and now coaches senior clinical staff. She has extensive NHS Experience at director level. Her responsibilities included delivering strategy, formulating policy and promoting good health and care practice both across the UK and internationally. She has worked in many aspects of health and care provision as a clinical leader, teacher, strategic commissioner and deliverer of operational services. Donna served as nurse/child health assessor to the Victoria Climbié Inquiry and advised the Prime Minister’s Commission on the future of Nursing and Midwifery in 2010. She has also completed a number of inquiries and sat on Better Births – Improving Outcomes of Maternity Services in England.
Her contribution to healthcare leadership has been recognised nationally, including her appointment as a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE).
As Director of Nursing and Community Services, Donna’s role in Zentar Healthcare is to oversee the development and growth of the community services from all aspects. Her clinical background and operational expertise ensure that Zentar’s services are safe, effective, and person-centred.’
