Chelsea began her nursing career in New Zealand in 2019, specialising in surgical care and earning multiple postgraduate qualifications in the field. Like many nurses from Australia and New Zealand, she was drawn to the UK by the unique opportunities that Travel Nursing offers: a balance of professional growth, cultural exchange, and the flexibility to explore new environments. For many, the UK is a natural choice—offering access to world-renowned healthcare institutions, the ability to travel across Europe, and the chance to gain diverse clinical experience while earning competitive pay.
In 2022, Chelsea made the move to the UK with the help of her Travel Nurse agency, who assisted with every step of the transition. Her early NHS placements saw her successfully complete several 12-week contracts, quickly establishing herself as a dependable and skilled practitioner. Recognised for her leadership and clinical expertise, she was soon recruited into a Band 6 senior staff nurse role within the NHS.
Seeking a more dynamic and growth-oriented environment, Chelsea transitioned into the private sector, again supported by her Travel Nurse agency Reachout Medical. Since then, she has thrived within London’s private healthcare system, securing a full-time position with HCA where she continues to expand her clinical expertise in a Senior Nurse Role.
Her role in the private sector has not only provided professional development and stability but also supported her passion for travel and new experiences—making it the ideal platform for both personal and professional growth.
