Tom is a Director at Public First, leading our Social Policy practice. He previously worked for the Labour Party for ten years, first as health lead in Labour’s policy team and then as head of research where he helped prepare Labour leaders for Prime Minister’s Questions – he is co-author of Punch & Judy Politics, a book about the history of PMQs and how it works.
He has also worked in public affairs consultancy and for charities in the health and disability sectors and is currently a board member for the campaigning organisation 38 Degrees. Tom has a PhD in ethics and philosophy of religion which he has never managed to use professionally.
