Housing with Care

Savills, 33 Margaret Street, London

Housing with Care (Retirement Villages and Extra Care) continues to attract blue chip institutional capital investing in a sector with structural under supply and increasing demand.  Straddling the two markets of real estate and social care, it’s a market that is also seeing real innovation both in funding models (event fees, mid-market private rental models, ground rents) and the way housing and care are combined.

However, despite being a market with clear appeal to UK baby boomers who want to maintain a foothold in the property market while locking in the security of support services that grow alongside needs, the number of new villages and units built each year remains modest.

LaingBuisson sit on the BPF Healthcare Committee and are Associate Members of ARCO, and this half day seminar will see the launch our updated Housing with Care market report with market data from the Elderly Accommodation Council and the latest market intelligence including market value, size, growth and trends. We will also have the leading providers, developers and advisors in the sector leading the debate on whether housing with care can accelerate its growth rate and create a new residential care market.

Private Acute Healthcare Conference

Royal Society of Medicine, Wimpole Street, London

Focussed on acute and mental health strategy and market analysis with industry insight and trends, market opportunities, standards, accreditation, financial performance, insurer/provider relationships, corporate market for health insurance, corporate self funding models and M&A.

Join LaingBuisson at our annual Private Acute Healthcare Conference, 11th October at the Royal Society of Medicine. The conference will be focused on opportunities for growth and examining the continuing challenges in London. The conference will focus on some of the challenges the sector is facing, particularly around quality and governance, discussing some of the practical steps that can be taken on quality, information and outcomes.

It will also look at the challenge of achieving growth, inside and outside London, in self-pay and other areas, and in particular specialties such as orthopaedics and oncology as well as complementary areas such as fertility, cosmetics and mental health. Finally, a special session on digital health will see a number of tech start-ups pitch their ideas to a panel of experts, with the audience voting on the best idea.

Timed in mid-October at the round-up of the current year and as forecasting for the next year and beyond begins, this event is aimed at hospital operators, insurers, investors/lenders, clinic managers and suppliers. This unique combination of objective insights and senior delegate participation from across the industry makes this conference, now in its 22nd year, the must-attend event for the private acute healthcare sector.

What our delegates have said

Excellent, highly informative agenda

I found the event very informative and definitely value for money

Excellent presentations, chairing and facilities-well done

Fantastic networking opportunities

Thank you for organising such a good event. It was very well organised and extremely informative.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to attend your conference today. It was really excellent and I am so grateful you made it possible for me to attend. I learnt a huge amount and left with some great ideas for my business. I also made some interesting new contacts and met some old acquaintances too.

Thank you for your hospitality in London last week. I thought the venue was super and I got a huge amount from the speakers and other conversations I enjoyed with fellow delegates during the day.

The audience interaction through polls and questions was really beneficial, particularly the ability to do so on an anonymous basis.

Good job, really enjoyed the day. Good topics and opportunity to network

I thought the "espresso" style of presentations was very good, brief to the point presentations but quality content

Enjoyed the conference and thought it was valuable

Sponsorship Opportunities

Our events attract support from key stakeholders in the independent health, social care and childcare sectors. Sponsorship connects your brand with opinion formers in the sector and associates it with knowledge products and professional development.

Sponsorhip testimonial from Capsticks

“Capsticks were Lead Sponsors for the LaingBuisson Social Care Conference held in May 2018. The event was a real success for us, thanks in a large part to the way in which LaingBuisson worked with us in the build up to the event and also at the event itself. The event was well thought through and offered something different in terms of content and perspective. The conference was very well attended and we were pleased to have our brand at the centre of it. We came away from the conference with many productive leads and opportunities and will be working with LaingBuisson again.”
